HOW TO HARNESS THE POTENTIAL OF STARTUP ECOSYSTEMS

Barcelona’s startup ecosystem is EXPLODING! And it’s not the only one. Cities, large and small, around the world are experiencing the hyper growth of their respective tech sectors which has quickly evolved into the premier economic engine for growth and hotbed for innovation.

While the phrase “Startup Ecosystem” has become a popular buzzword in the media in recent years, the communicative phenomenon is playing a key role in the future of our global economy. Investing in and nurturing a startup ecosystem is a responsibility that falls on the shoulders of many different groups beyond the entrepreneurs themselves. It must become a collaborative, long-term objective that maintains commitment and buy-in from all relevant stakeholders from generation to generation.

This class will examine the evolution of the startup ecosystem and its key ingredients. We will explore the various methodologies and tactics different communities are taking to exploit their available resources and maximise their output. Finally, we’ll interact directly with key stakeholders and develop a strategic market entry and expansion blueprint for ourselves and our startups.
