We’re one of the only European institutions completely dedicated to technology, design and entrepreneurship, and our interdisciplinary courses are taught by some of today’s leading professionals. Our aim is not only to equip students with the knowledge to take on the real world, but to nurture, create and shape tomorrow’s tech superstars.
Combinatorics and graph theory lay at the heart of discrete mathematics and computer science. In the course, we begin with a brief review of the fundamentals of combinatorics---counting, permutations, binomial coefficients, and the pigeonhole principle---and then devote most of the course to the fundamentals of graph theory. We cover the most common definitions and ideas of graph theory, proving important theorems and introducing important algorithms, but mostly aiming to simply establish the common language of discrete mathematics and computer science.
Hannes S. Chopra is the CEO of RaSa Future Fund. RaSa invests into early stage technological start-ups disrupting the financial/insurance world. Furthermore he is an executive coach and management trainer. He is passionate about personal and leadership development of executives and future leaders. He is convinced that leaders – not technology - are the key factors in growth and development of any institution. Hence, enabling leaders is the key to enabling change in our transformative world. Bossert Associates is a leading leadership development firm based in Munich.
Hannes has a strong business background with over 20 years in leadership positions. He looks back at a successful corporate career at Allianz Group where he reached the highest leadership grading and served as CEO in Russia and as regional head of Eurasia. He served in over 10 boards in Romania, Poland, Bulgaria, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Egypt, South Africa, and Dubai, as non-executive director. Furthermore he built a highly successful insurance company (Sberbank Insurance) from scratch for Sberbank, the largest Russian bank. For many years he has been involved in mentoring, peer-to-peer coaching and has recently completed his coaching certification.
Hannes has a master’s degree in economics and is attending the Presidents Programme at Harvard Business School and London Business School. He is an active member of YPO (Young Presidents Organisation), serving as Chairman of YPO Russia from 2014 till 2016.
Hannes is fluent in German, English, Russian, Panjabi, Hindi. He advises a number of startups.
The objective is to learn and apply the mindset and tools of high performing companies to your capstone (or in general). We will study theory and practical examples. We will further build on the initial learning of Exponential Organizations. We will learn about corporate lifecycles and will reflect on its implications for your capstone/businesses and we will look deeper into the leadership aspect of successful capstones/businesses. To maximise the value of the class, it is recommended to have your own capstone or be part of a capstone. True learning happens through practical application.
