Passionate and result oriented entrepreneurial leader with nearly 10 years of experience.

Don has built a track record in Digital Product Development, Launch of New Businesses & business models, General Management, Lean Startup and Global Strategy with a focus on the intersection of technology, people and venturing. Together with a great team he has co-founded a company called Rockstart where they created, launched and managed International programs for entrepreneurs in the domains of Web&Mobile, Smart Energy, Digital Health and Artificial Intelligence, both in Netherlands and LATAM.

Don screened 5000+ startups pitches and together with an IC selected the best 150 startups to enter one of his programs. After entering the program the startups received follow on investment totaling 70+ million from private investors and grew from 0 to EUR 350 million in value. Don also started Rockstart’s corporate practice where they launched custom made programs and competitions for companies like Philips, Sony, and Shell.

Don loves working with teams and inspiring people to become more entrepreneurial, implementing new business models, applying the latest (lean) startup methodologies and helping to innovate companies and bring new products to market. In his personal life, he enjoys spending time with his family&friends, and he likes traveling, nature, squash, music, and politics.

This course is the culmination of your year’s work. During this course you will learn the essentials and practicalities of starting a company, how to validate your idea, launch a prototype and get it to the market, and finally: ready to present to investors at Demo Day. This course will be personalised and focused on where you are with your current idea, so whether you’re in the ideation stage or you have a launched MVP, this course will take you through the next step(s). From there, whether it’s one step or more depends on your efforts and hard work.

This course will be different than what you’re used to, as the time will be split between lectures and personalised coaching for you and your team. This is a different setup, but it will allow me as a teacher to teach you the things you need to learn now. Based on my experience I expect this will be very impactful.

This course will be designed based on my personal learnings of founding Rockstart and working with 150 startups who raised EUR 70 million and are now worth EUR 350 million.
