ABOUT JOSHUA
BIBLIOGRAPHY
Designing experiences for the web holds its own challenges separate from other contemporary media, in that control over the final output is never guaranteed. The open and accessible nature of the web means that your experience can be viewed on any internet-enabled device, from your laptop, to a widescreen television, to your refrigerator's touchscreen. To design and build for this medium you must how to prepare assets, take into account browser capabilities, optimize for delivery, learn the ins and outs of how viewport size determines layout capabilities, best practices for adapting layouts for different scales, and how designs can adapt to their environment providing more or less functionality as needed. This course will teach you how to design and build layouts that work to the best of their ability wherever and on whatever device they are viewed on using the technique called Responsive Web Design. This is a method for designing & developing websites that provide optimal viewing experiences (in terms of reading, navigation, & layout) across a wide range of traditional & mobile devices.
